    Cleanings and Fluoride Treatment

Preventive care every 6 months gives patients the opportunity to learn about their teeth, encourage good homecare habits, and ask questions to help keep their mouths healthy and cavity free. The fluoride treatment we offer is a quick application of a water-based formulation that feels smooth and tastes great.

    Sealants

A preventive treatment most commonly placed on molars (back teeth) that have deep anatomical grooves. This coating helps prevent food and plaque germs that often cause cavities from getting stuck in the teeth.

    Education

We pride ourselves on helping educate our patients and their parents. We encourage questions and provide a judgement free relationship in order to help our families understand how to prevent cavities and keep their mouths healthy!

    Minimally Invasive Treatment Options

Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is a liquid medicament applied to small cavities to prevent their progression. This can sometimes be used instead of placing a filling. We also have other minimally invasive techniques to treat cavities in our office.

    Infant Oral Health

Early dental visits allow for preventive strategies, caregiver education, and help our little ones acclimate to the dental office.

    White Fillings

White fillings (glass ionomer or composite restorations) help replace missing tooth structure when a cavity is present. These filling materials allow us to be as minimally invasive as possible, but also offer an esthetic option.

    Crowns

Crowns are often used to treat baby teeth when the cavity is medium to large in size. The crown protects and strengthens the tooth structure until the baby tooth is ready to exfoliate (wiggle out)! We have both stainless steel and zirconia (white) crowns. Note: not every tooth qualifies for a zirconia (white) crown!

    Pulpotomies (nerve treatments)

When a cavity is deep and extends into the pulp tissue (nerve of the tooth) a pulp treatment may be necessary.

    Space Maintenance

When baby teeth are lost early, a space maintainer is placed to hold room for the permanent tooth that may not be ready to erupt for several years. These are often made in our office during your child’s appointment.
